Sumner & Baker was founded by Marie Sumner and Susan Baker, who together hold 30 years’ commercial marketing and operations experience throughout leading global markets London, Dubai, Singapore and Shanghai.

Following hugely successful careers with Morgan Stanley, Royal Bank of Scotland, CitiGroup,¬†Select Property Group and Cavendish Maxwell, Marie and Susan created Sumner & Baker to offer their leading expertise to smaller businesses that don’t typically have access to sophisticated marketing resources.

Marie Sumner
Managing Partner

Throughout a 15-year career, Marie spearheaded leading marketing strategies in real estate and professional services across the UK, Middle East and Asia. She managed multi-million dollar budgets and worked alongside leading global agencies. She has also played a key growth role in a number of startups and small businesses. Marie is passionate about helping people who are truly great at what they do, deliver their message to the right people, in the right way.


Susan Baker

Susan held several high-profile executive support and operational roles throughout a 12-year career in London’s corporate finance market. Bringing a wealth of client-focused operational experience to Sumner & Baker, she ensures that each and every project is delivered promptly and to the highest standards. Susan prides herself on integrity, which echoes throughout the business as one of Sumner & Baker’s core promises.


It’s not everyday that small businesses get access to 30 years’ corporate marketing experience, but Sumner & Baker makes it possible. We’ve been there, done that, and made mistakes – so that you don’t have to.
